Hoodie Allen: All American EP
"I went from workin' at Google to watching my Google Alerts,
Now I got a buzz bigger than Google Earth."
After so much anticipation, Hoodie Allen's All American EP dropped tonight. I can't say enough about this dude. Went from school at UPenn to work at Google then left to pursue his music career. On top of that, he is one of the most down to earth and humble dudes in the game right now. Takes the time to respond to almost every one of his fans' tweets and has even promised to personally call and thank everyone that buys his EP! That's crazy.
Literally every song on this EP is amazing. Hoodie's lyrics are some of the wittiest in the game right now, perhaps due to his impressive background. Who else references Google and Groupon in the same EP? No one. Hoodie is one of the few artists that continues to grow with every release. In a world where many artists struggle to transition and change from project to project, Hoodie flourishes in the progression. His lyrics improve, his production improves, and at the core, he stays the same Hoodie. I won't take the time to rave about every song individually and will rather just plead that you go to iTunes and buy this EP. I mean, Hoodie even made the EP $4.99 just for his fans.
My favorite track is "No Faith In Brooklyn." I could listen to it all day, no exaggeration.
BUY IT NOW!!!!!!
